Meet Versonar
The duo consists of experienced musicians Wayne Barron & Matt Williams, providing a contemporary blend of immersive music, with acoustic and electric guitars backed with subtle electronic undertones, sure to create a classy and elegant atmosphere at any event.
MATT WILLIAMS

Matt has a wealth of experience in music, having worked as a live sound engineer with top musicians over the last 20 years. He has toured all around the world visiting Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China and Russia, employing his sound engineering skills at fantastic venues like the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, Reading Festival, the O2 in Berlin, the Benacassim Festival in Spain and the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
Working as a live sound engineer led Matt to work with an amazing array of artistes including Alexander O’Neal, Badly Drawn Boy, Billy Bragg, Bootleg Beetles, Chemical Brothers, Dizzy Rascal, Dodgy, Fairport Convention, Fat Boy Slim, Faustus, Frank Turner, Goldie, James Arthur, John Grant, Lemar, Pete Doherty, Procal Harum, Shakin Stevens, Steve Mason (The Beta Band), Suzi Quattro, The Blockheads, The Wonder Stuff, Thin Lizzy and Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) to name just a few.
Now running his own studio in Hampshire (www.adventuresinaudio.co.uk), he’s the brains behind the recording side of Versonar. He’s also a great lead guitar player, and can be seen playing his much loved Gibson Les Paul at Versonar gigs.
WAYNE BARRON

Wayne has been heavily involved in music since the early 90s, initially playing local and London music venues in his band Aura, founded with fellow musicians Trevor Lake and Richard Wood. Whilst travelling around Europe in his 1967 split screen Volkswagen camper he had a chance meeting with talented singer/guitarist Leon Taylor, who later joined the band on their return to the UK.
With a love of vintage Volkswagens, it was only natural that Wayne should combine his love of music with his passion for classic aircooled cars, so he started running Dubs at the Park VW Show with the London & Thames Valley VW Club. His role as Assistant Manager of the show entailed running the music stages, which he also played on several occasions, including playing the acoustic stage in 2018 with Matt as Versonar. The role involved booking the artistes for both the main stage and acoustic stage, employing great local acts and known bands like Dodgy and Mark Morriss from the Bluetones.
Wayne is an accomplished singer/songwriter with an unquenchable passion for music, and continues to write his own material. Having run local acoustic nights, he’s been part of the vibrant local music scene, and continues to contribute now with Versonar.
